Here are some storage ideas to recycle those things you know you can reuse…for something….
Idea #1 Canned Canisters
I used a safety can opener to remove the lids of cans of various sizes. Next, I cleaned them up really well. IÂ handwashed AND ran them through the dishwasher. Once dry, I also cleaned them with rubbing alcohol. I spray-painted the inside and covered the outside with art paper. Next, I drilled a hole in the lid with a Dremel tool. And I attached some inexpensive drawer pulls. I added a small nut to tighten. Finally, I added felt flowers that I glued a small magnet to. I use them to store buttons, ribbons, fabric scraps!
Idea #2 Fun Bead Storage
I use these small plastic toy holders to store beads. They are see through and color coded! I prop them up in transparent egg crate!
Idea #3 Quick-&-Dirty pool tote
You know those vinyl bags that you get when you buy a new blanket or comforter. Well, yes they are great for storing those comforters and blankets, but you can also make yourself a quick pool tote. Just sew a vinyl belt to either side and Voila! They’re great for keeping your important stuff safe from those crazy kid cannonballers!
